These are sugar cookies decorated with royal icing, sugar, and sprinkles for the fall.

July 4th Birthday Cake

This cake was for my Dad's 74th birthday. It was a red and white vanilla bean cake w/blue swiss meringue buttercream frosting, a American flag made of jelly beans, red, white, and blue sprinkles, and American flag picks.

Cherry Galette

This is a cherry galette made with fresh cherries and homemade pie dough. I forgot to take a picture before my Mom and I ate half of it. It was pretty tasty. I plan to make one with fresh peaches from the farmers market with the other half of the dough.

The Verdict on the Pineapple and Mango Upside Down Cake

It taste great there wasn't any difference in taste that I could tell with the addition of the mango. I will use this recipe again and again.

Pineapple and Mango Upside Down Cake

I've always loved pineapple upside down cake, but have never made it from scratch just from the box. I got this recipe from my Martha Stewart Baking Handbook and wanted to give it a try. It was pretty simple to make and turned out just like the picture. I haven't tasted it yet and there might be a difference in taste do to the addition of mango, but I will report back on that.
